Investment Process
Griffin's investment process is best described as a fundamental bottom-up stock selection process within a risk-controlled framework. To generate additional uncorrelated returns small parts of the portfolio are employed for short-term trading techniques.
The stock selection and idea generation is based on unique proprietary Griffin Research Database. This database is made up of complex models, which allow the fund managers to compare companies according to different criteria. Various methodologies are available to establish the fair valuation of a business under different assumptions and scenarios and derive estimates for the target share prices.
The risk controlled framework is provided by the active use of derivatives to enhance or hedge strategies, which are generated through the fundamental bottom-up stock selection process.
Short-term trading techniques are employed to take advantage of market volatility and to generate additional uncorrelated returns.
